FAQ

Is Scavland on mobile or Android?
No. Scavland exists only as a Windows PC game on Steam. No mobile, Android, or iOS version has been announced or listed anywhere official — and any site offering a Scavland mobile download cannot be offering the real game, because none exists to offer.
Is Scavland coming to consoles?
Nothing official says so. The developers' published roadmap for Early Access covers new acts, regions, quests, and cooperative multiplayer — platform ports are not on it. This page updates if that ever changes.
Does Scavland support controllers and Steam Deck?
Yes for controllers — the official store material advertises full gamepad support and says the game was designed for Steam Deck and handhelds first: "making inventory management, looting, combat, interactions, and menus feel natural regardless of how you choose to play." Update 0.8.0 (October 17, 2026) then shipped big performance improvements for Steam Deck and low-end GPUs — cheaper radiation effects, faster fog rendering, a smaller download, fewer loading hitches.
What are Scavland's system requirements?
Modest: Windows 10 64-bit, a ~2.77 GHz quad-core CPU, 8 GB RAM (12 GB recommended), any GPU with 2 GB VRAM supporting DirectX 11 / OpenGL 2.1+, 2 GB of storage, and an FMOD-compatible sound card. The recommended tier differs only in RAM.
Is there a free demo?
There was: a free demo launched June 9, 2025 during the v0.2.4 era, months before Early Access began. Whether it remains downloadable after the September 2026 launch is not something this wiki can verify — check the Steam store page for the current listing.

What platforms is Scavland on?

Windows PC, through Steam, and that is the entire list. The store listing publishes no other platform, the official channels have announced no other platform, and the developer’s roadmap for Early Access — new acts, regions, quests, creatures, and cooperative multiplayer — spends all of its promised effort on the game itself, not on ports.

The hardware bar is correspondingly ordinary, which is the practical upside of a pixel-art game engineered for one platform:

Minimum Recommended
OS Windows 10 64-bit Windows 10 64-bit
CPU Intel quad-core, ~2.77 GHz Same
RAM 8 GB 12 GB
GPU 2 GB VRAM, OpenGL 2.1+ / GLSL 1.2 (≈2012+), DirectX 11 Same
Storage 2 GB 2 GB
Sound FMOD-compatible card Same

Every value in that table comes from the store’s system-requirements section as archived on September 9, 2026 — the recommended tier is the minimum plus RAM, nothing else. For what the game does with that hardware, the Early Access guide covers the content picture.

Does Scavland work on Steam Deck?

By design, yes — with one honest caveat. The official material doesn’t stop at controller support: it claims the game was built for handhelds first, with the developers’ own words being that inventory, looting, combat, and menus were made to “feel natural regardless of how you choose to play.” The requirements table above is also handheld-friendly territory: 8 GB RAM, 2 GB storage, a decade-old GPU floor.

The caveat: a Steam Deck Verified badge is a specific Valve certification, and this wiki does not verify badge status — check the store page for the current mark. What can be said on official record is the design intent above, plus the community experience notes that collect in the update tracker as patches land. Update 0.8.0 (October 17, 2026) added an official performance pass for exactly this hardware: big improvements for Steam Deck and low-end GPUs — lower GPU cost for radiation effects, faster fog rendering, a smaller download, lower memory use, fewer loading hitches, and loading a game from the menu no longer hangs. Item descriptions also render in larger text on Steam Deck.

Is there a mobile or console version?

No — and the phrasing matters, so here it is precisely: no version of Scavland for phones, tablets, or any console exists on any official channel, and none has been announced. The official accounts post to the Steam news hub; the store lists Windows only; the roadmap’s promises are content and co-op multiplayer. Those are all the places a port would be named, and all of them are silent.

That silence has a practical corollary worth one sentence: a “Scavland mobile download” offered anywhere is not the real game by definition — the same fake-listing pattern the codes page documents for invented redeem codes. New games attract them; the store page is the only real listing.

Wasn’t there a free demo?

There was, and it is worth knowing what it was — a June 2025 time capsule. The demo launched June 9, 2025, during the v0.2.4 era: a smaller world (the full game is roughly three times its size, per the developers), the AK-50 challenge weapon, the first quest “Dead Man’s Rest,” and the day-night cycle as it existed then. It carried the game’s first wave of attention — the 100,000-wishlist announcement three months later grew from that demo audience.

Two things the demo is not: it is not the current game (eleven months and a version-numbering system of patches separate them — see update tracker), and its post-launch downloadability is unverified, so treat the store page as the source of truth on whether the demo listing still exists. What the demo era established that still holds — the world, the tone, the faction layer’s roots — is covered where it belongs, in Zalesye and the world.
