Scavland Map Guide: Getting Started
Navigating Scavland's handcrafted Soviet wasteland: world map, minimap, settlements, procedural bunkers, and hazards like the deadly Mist.
What does the Scavland map look like?
Scavland takes place in Zalesye, a handcrafted post-apocalyptic Soviet region — per official development updates, roughly three times the size of the original demo, with your run starting from the settlement of Rhos. The rebuilt world map is exploration-focused: roads and information appear gradually as you discover the region yourself, backed by a dynamic minimap. Full details in the Zalesye world map guide.
What is underground and what is dangerous?
Two features define travel planning:
- Procedural bunkers: forgotten underground complexes generate new layouts rather than fixed floor plans — see the bunkers guide.
- The Mist and environmental hazards: the deadly Mist, radiation zones, creatures, and hostile survivors all shape which routes are survivable with your current gear — see the Mist guide.
What will this page become?
This is the anchor of the map section. Verified settlement guides, bunker preparation notes, and hazard survival pages will be linked from here as Early Access data is confirmed — nothing is pinned on the map without being checked in the live game.
For how routes fit a cautious play style, see the beginner guide; for what you carry into a bunker, the weapons guide and crafting guide; for where jobs send you, the jobs and contracts guide.
