Scavland Items and Crafting Guide: Getting Started

Scavland loot, crafting, and trader stock explained — how items flow from scavenging runs into repairs, crafting, and the wasteland economy.

How does loot work in Scavland?

Everything you pull out of the wasteland has a use: gear to keep, materials for crafting and repairs, or goods to sell to traders. Because supplies are scarce and weapon condition degrades, every item you leave behind is a repair you won’t be able to make later — inventory decisions are survival decisions.

What are the three things you do with items?

  • Craft: turn scavenged materials into usable equipment and supplies — see the crafting and repair guide for the systems.
  • Repair and maintain: keep weapons and gear reliable as durability wears down.
  • Trade: sell surplus to traders — your relationship with them is tracked by the separate trader reputation system, distinct from faction standing (see the factions guide).

What will this page become?

This starter page anchors the items section. Verified loot tables, crafting recipes, medical supply references, and trader inventories will be linked from here as Early Access data is confirmed — every number gets checked against the live game before it is published.

For the loop that puts items to work, see the beginner guide; for what you’re maintaining, the weapons guide; for where the loot comes from, the bunkers guide.
